This round of work is focused on what we call scenarios. Each group is being provided a story about something that might happen in the future. Your group’s scenario is: As a way to increase our revenue and to provide services to our communities we decide to expand educational opportunities to provide services for adults and for home schooling families.
Objective
The objective of this activity is to:
1) List the implications of this scenario on the four communities
2) List the challenges you see in this situation
3) List the possible responses to this scenario that meet the goals set out by the boards (see below)
4) Make a recommendation as to what you would do to successfully respond to this scenario
The goals set out by the school boards are:
Process
Find your break out area, introduce yourself to the other members of your group. Then, divide into two groups. Each group will work on the objectives in their own breakout area.
In your breakout area, discuss your scenario and respond to the questions above. Use the white wall and markers provided to brainstorm your responses and then produce your final product on a poster board.
You have 60 minutes for this activity, which is not a lot of time.

Group 15b: Education Anywhere Scenario

YYour group’s scenario is: As a service to our communities and to our students we figure out a way for schooling to continue without the need to come to a particular school building. We are calling this our School Anywhere program.

3) List the possible responses to this scenario that meet the goals set out by the boards (see below)
4) Make a recommendation as to what you would do to successfully respond to this scenario
