The first activity of the evening was focused on learning and getting feedback on what has been accomplished since the workshop in February 2007. Here is the assignment:

Context
Welcome!

We’re going to begin this evening working in teams of four people. The purpose of this activity is to orient all of us to many of the key activities and changes the four districts have made over the last year.

Objective
The objective of this round of work is to orient everyone on the progress each of the four schools/communities has made over the last year since the workshop in February 2007.

Process
Please compose a group of four people. Each nametag has a color –Red, Blue, Yellow, and Green. Each group of four should have one person representing each color. Then, as a group of four please visit each tower and interact with the people and exhibits there to learn about what has been accomplished in the last year. Then, provide your feedback on the white wall nearby by answering the question there. The station in the middle of the gym is populated with information that might be relevant to the future and what is coming next.

As a group of 4 people, during the next 30 minutes please visit all stations throughout the room, learn about what is there, discuss it among the four of you, and respond by writing something on the white boards near each station.

Since there are a lot of people in the room, you can look for stations that aren’t busy.

Exchange
Following this activity we will gather as a large group.

At each station participants were asked to respond to questions on white walls. The thumbnail images link to their responses. Click the thumbnail to see a larger version of the image (image will open in a new window). The students working on the facilitation team also captured a short video presentations from each station. You can play those videos right on this page.
